Bichette not on ALCS roster; Scherzer, Bassitt added

The Toronto Blue Jays will be without one of their biggest bats for the ALCS.
Bo Bichette, who is rehabbing from a knee sprain suffered against the Yankees back in early September, will not be added to the roster for the upcoming series against the Seattle Mariners, as per Sportsnet’s Hazel Mae.
Bichette has been completing running, hitting, and throwing drills as of late, but a video surfaced yesterday of a recent running session on the base paths that showed the Jays shortstop grimacing as he rounded second base before leaving the field with the coaching staff.
The Florida product was one of the top bats not just on the Jays squad, but the entire American League before landing on the IL. Despite not suiting up for the remaining few weeks in the regular season, Bichette finished just three hits behind Bobby Witt Jr. for the hit crown in the AL, finishing with 181 knocks. Producing a 3.4 bWAR, the shortstop finished the campaign with a .311/.357/.483 slash line with 44 doubles, 18 home runs, and 94 RBIs and was going to be a key contributor for the Jays down the stretch.
